Physical Therapist: Lacey and Sarah

Physical therapists are highly-educated, professionals who can help patients reduce pain and improve or restore mobility, in many cases without surgery. This career choice is a very rewarding line of work due to the positive atmosphere and uplifting surroundings. Everyday gives you an opportunity to help the people around you.  Physical therapists are in very high demand. The baby-boomer generation is now around their 60’s and have begun to have problems with their joints and mobility. This requires the need for more physical therapists as time progresses.

Most programs require a bachelor's degree for admission as well as specific prerequisites, such as anatomy, physiology, biology, chemistry, and physics. Most DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy) programs require applicants to apply through the Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service (PTCAS).
Physical therapists receive a very good salary. The average physical therapist salary is $82,390. The lowest earners make approximately $56,800, and the highest earners make up to $116,090.
