Why Acting?
There are a few reasons why someone would want to act:
- Fame: it’s a fact that people want to be loved by others. We get surgeries to change the way we look to be accepted and post pictures on Instagram to get more likes. But what’s the best way to get millions or even billions of people to like you or just know you exist, acting. For some people it’s not even about acting, they just want to be as famous as Jennifer Lawrence or Leonardo DiCaprio
- Fortune: So it’s not news that once you get to a point in acting you get golden awards and lots of money. Me personally I wouldn’t mind having Jenifer Lawrence's 8.5 million dollar mansion. I’m sure everyone would like to have a great amount of money. Who doesn’t want millions of fans and money?
But there's a lot more to being an actor/actress.
Acting is a way of becoming another person. You relate to different characters in many ways you never thought you would. You work around imaginary things and make up characters to make people feel something, to entertain. Authors create the stories and actors bring those stories to life. They connect with not only their characters, but the people around them. Building relationships with other actors is one of the most important parts. Not only does it make being around each other more enjoyable but it also affects the acting and the bond the characters have with one another. You began to trust each other and that comes out in your acting, and makes it seem more real. Acting is an illusion to escape reality, and who wouldn’t want to be someone else for a while?
