Have you ever wanted to work for government agencies, or even the military? Are you fascinated with the idea of designing space shuttles? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then Aerospace Engineering is the job for you!
Aerospace Engineering is an extremely prestigious job. Being in the aerospace field can get you into companies such as National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Central Intelligence Agency, Boeing, and many more. The basic function of Aerospace Engineers is to design air and spacecraft. Objects in this category include space shuttles, missiles, jets, and so much more.
To become an Aerospace Engineer, you must graduate from High School, attend college, and receive a Bachelor’s related to aerospace engineering for entry level, and a Master’s degree for research and education careers. You’re time in college will take a minimum of four years. Some Universities also offer a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Aerospace Engineering.
To be a aerospace engineer you must be competent in most fields of engineering science and have a passion for aircraft and spacecraft if you want to be comfortable. This is because the profession requires adequate knowledge about how machines are built to know how to design new ones.
As an aerospace engineer you are given the opportunity to change the world through your new designs and innovations in aerospace technologies. You will collaborate with other engineers of your caliber to create planes, cars, spacecraft, and anything else designed to slice through air.
Here's a few fun facts, for starters the median salary is $103, 870 annually. Every single plane you have ridden in has been designed by an aerospace engineer somewhere.
